OTP Has the PPE and Safety Supplies You Need to Keep Your Operations COVID Compliant

As your company ramps back up to full time operations, it can be a challenge to comply with the new COVID-19 health and safety requirements now in place. To help keep your employees and customers healthy, and your facility sanitized and safe, OTP has sourced some of the supplies that are most in-demand for manufacturing operations. Save time and avoid searching dozens of vendors — we’ve done the work for you and have ready access to large inventories of select supplies. All orders can be delivered quickly and on a short turnaround.

Masks

Masks
Many state and local governments now require employees and customers to wear face coverings while in public places or places of business. To ensure everyone in your facility always has a high-quality mask to wear, we can provide bulk quantities of standard surgical masks and the highly protective N95 respirator masks. OTP has two options:

  • Surgical Masks – These three-ply standard ear-loop face masks offer protection from airborne particles. $66/box, 50 masks per box. Specify number of boxes needed.
  • N95 Particulate Respirator Masks – As the most protective mask available, the N95 respirator mask with double headstraps protects from particles as small as 0.3 micron in size. These masks are certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety. $133/box, 20 masks per box. Specify number of boxes needed.

Temperature Screening Cameras

Temperature Screening Cameras
Many companies are temperature-screening all individuals entering their building, as a precautionary measure. The SkyCop Thermal Camera can detect elevated body temperature, detect face masks, and can track headcount to comply with reduced capacity requirements. It measures temperature with no contact, registers the reading in one second and displays results on an LCD monitor. Call for pricing.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand Sanitizer
Clean hands and surfaces is a critical step to keep your facility safe and your employees and customers healthy. The hand sanitizer we offer is 80% antiseptic ethanol alcohol and can be ordered in large bulk quantities for high-volume users or resellers. Available in 5-gallon pail ($245/pail; 8 pail minimum order), 54-gallon drum ($2,274), or 250-gallon tote ($10,065).

Transparent Workstation Barriers

Transparent Workstation Barriers
For open office workstations or customer service areas, a see-through physical barrier gives extra protection from respiratory droplets over and above the protection masks provide. OTP offers transparent dividers and shields made from durable acrylic, polycarbonate, clear PVC (choose rigid or flexible) or PETG. All workstation shields are lightweight, easily installed and cleaned, and have the option of an additional anti-scratch coating. Call for pricing.

OTC’s board of directors has named David Scheer as the new Chief Executive Officer. Scheer will also be joining the board of directors.

OTC was co-founded in 1963 by Phil Derrow’s father, David Derrow, and L. Philip Carstens. Since its founding, OTC has grown from just six employees in a single location in Columbus to more than 1,200 employees in 47 locations across the United States. In 2013, Derrow led the company through a transition to private equity ownership, culminating in a sale to Genstar Capital in April 2019. Derrow’s move to the Chairman role was planned as part of the Genstar acquisition.

“It is impossible to adequately express my profound gratitude to all of our associates, customers and suppliers for their trust, support and friendship during my career. It has truly been the gift of a lifetime of service for which I am profoundly grateful,” Derrow said. “I am excited to hand over the reins to an executive as accomplished as David.”

Said Scheer, “I am honored and excited to join OTC as CEO. Phil has built an extraordinary business that has offered an unparalleled level of service to America’s leading industrial companies for many years. I look forward to working with all of OTC’s team members to continue to grow and build one of the country’s largest industrial solutions providers.”

Previously, Scheer was Executive Vice President/Electrical Segment of Actuant Corporation (NYSE: ATU) and led the 2013 spin-off of the segment, which was renamed Power Products. He also has served as Chief Operating Officer for Pearlman Group, the nation’s leading distributor of tools, supplies, and machinery for the hard surfaces industry.  Earlier in his career, Scheer was Chief Operating Officer of Sigma Electric Manufacturing Corp., Division President/Southeast for Rexel USA, and he had several commercial and operating roles with Thomas & Betts Corporation.

SAMES KREMLIN Re-Establishing Manufacturing and Celebrating 40 Years in North America

Meet George Jetson! In this 1962 animated sitcom, the family enjoyed video chat, which at that time was not yet invented. Today, in Industry 4.0, flying taxis are on the horizon. SAMES KREMLIN technology has been supporting innovators globally for 95 years. As manufacturing is being pushed into the deep end of a natural disaster, we are prouder than ever of unsurpassed products and technology.

‘Our Mission Is to Help You Achieve Your Mission’

The Internet of Things (IoT) is affecting the way products are being manufactured. Predictions state that implementing Industrial IoT into production will generate trillions of dollars in global GDP in the next 10 years. Automation plays a big role in smart manufacturing and SAMES KREMLIN has the capabilities of integrating products with Advanced Industrial Robots.

Automation & A Peek of the SAMES KREMLIN Diverse Product Range

The PPH 707 is an electrostatic rotary bell atomizer, using sensors for speed calculation and bell cup detection. It has an incredibly robust sealed turbine that can handle highly viscous bell applied material. Bell speed is controlled by a microphone instead of fiber optics, eliminating common speed fault issues. We want customers to know this high-end applicator uses the best technology available.

Automation is even possible with Airmix® technology in the AVX gun. Airmix® (Air-Assisted Airless) gives a high finishing quality & uniform film build control for paint flow rates from 400 to 2000 cc/min, with a perfectly atomized spray pattern. This patented technology will turn high gloss oil into mirror finish quality!

SAMES KREMLIN has five other product ranges in addition to Airmix® bringing new solutions to help re-establish manufacturing right here in the United States; Airspray, Airless, Electrostatic, Dispense & Powder.

OTP Industrial Solutions and SAMES KREMLIN Working Together

IoT devices connect to networks, talk to each other and drive automation. Which is remarkable, but we still need knowledgeable people behind the wheel. Lab tests of materials can be done at the SAMES KREMLIN facility in Plymouth, MI. There you will find passion for creating expert solutions. Both organizations come together as a team with a shared desire to develop great people.

Congratulations to SAMES KREMLIN on 40-years in North America and standing on the forefront of advanced technology! Sensor systems are currently being studied to allow future SAMES KREMLIN equipment to be integrated into Zero Down Time applications; to help your businesses save time & money. We want to increase your revenue by increasing your Space Sprockets!

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jan. 21, 2020 — Ohio Transmission Corporation, an industrial equipment service provider and distributor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, today announced the acquisition of Laron Inc., a leading service provider of mechanical and electric motor repair and engineering in the southwestern United States.

Laron’s headquarters in Kingman, Arizona, houses more than 140,000 square feet of shop space, with large-scale machining, fabrication and repair capabilities. Laron also has repair facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, and Salt Lake City, Utah, and it has a sales and field service office in Tucson, Arizona.

Since its founding, Laron has provided industrial support services, including heavy industrial automation, machining, motor repair, fabrication, field services, mechanical repair, predictive maintenance, storage and custom solutions. “This acquisition is an important part of our rapidly evolving repair and engineering services capabilities,” said Matt Piatt, Chief Operating Officer of OTC. “Along with the recent acquisition of Keller Electrical, the addition of Laron further enhances our overall service offering and expands our regional footprint in the Southwest.”

Laron will continue to operate under the Laron brand and with current local management, including Glenn Thoroughman, CEO; Larry Tree, president; John Hansen, COO; Gary Maclay, CFO; and a strong team of general managers already in place.

Laron will operate as a division of OTP Industrial Solutions, providing Laron with access to OTP’s vast product and service offerings and resources while expanding OTP’s service offerings.

“Laron’s extensive machining and fabrication capabilities, including field machining, along with the capability for handling the largest crusher, pump and other rotating equipment repair, are complementary to OTP’s existing service shops and further enhances our overall service offering to the entire OTP customer base,” said Rob Webb, President of OTP Industrial Solutions. “They also share our commitment to be the best service provider we can be to our customers.”

“Laron has built an amazing reputation of being the company that can tackle and solve the toughest challenges of industry,” said Thoroughman. “Combining that capability with OTP’s territory and with their very diverse product lines, we see amazing new opportunities for our Laron associates and a significant improvement in our ability to add value to the service that we and OTP can provide to our customers.”

While Laron associates and customers benefit from the acquisition, the acquisition opens up new industries to OTP Industrial Solutions, Thoroughman said.
