BATTLE CREEK MICHIGAN – OTP Industrial Solutions has acquired the assets and hired the associates of Nu-Con Automation, a leading SMC Pneumatics distributor in southern Michigan since 1977.

Nu-Con Automation and OTP have both been Technical Distributors with SMC Pneumatics for many years. The addition of OTP’s resources and broad range of industrial products will benefit Nu-Con customers by greatly increasing the scope of applications, support and solutions available to customers.

“Technical Knowledge with Broad Product Support,” states Rob Webb, OTP Marketing Manager. “We provide customers with individualized solutions using our wide breath of products, manufacturers and resources. ”

In conjunction with this acquisition, 80/20 Inc has authorized OTP in all territories that Nu-Con Automation traditionally served.  Nu-Con customers and associates will gain immediate support from the  OTP 80/20 design and assembly team, with experienced CAD operators providing design assistance, expert fabrication and assembly.

At an awards conference encompassing all Honda manufacturing operations in Ohio and Indiana, Honda presented its Supplier of the Year awards for excellence in key performance areas of safety, quality, cost, development and management.  OTP Industrial Solutions was one of only twelve suppliers recognized with an award out of approximately 5000 total MRO suppliers.

“Today, we are acknowledging an outstanding group of suppliers that exemplify Honda’s philosophy of delivering the highest possible value to our customers through their quality products and customer service,” said Jan Gansheimer, who manages purchasing for Honda of America Mfg., Inc.

In addition to Warren Rupp, Versa-Matic Pump is also included in the IDEX family of AODD pumping solutions. Versa-Matic  AODD pumps are available in a variety of plastic and metal materials, such as polypropylene, acetal, aluminum, and stainless steel.
